An ex-girlfriend from middle school, Hinata Tachibana, and her younger brother, Naoto, were killed by the Tokyo Manji Gang, according to Takemichi Hanagaki, a freeter in his thirties, who learned about the murders one day. A member of the Tachibana family, Hinata and Naoto were both. When he is pushed in front of a train, Takemichi has the ability to go back in time exactly twelve years to the year 2005. When Takemichi is reliving his middle school years, he meets Naoto and informs him of the exact day that he and Hinata would die. Takemichi is immediately transported back to the present after shaking hands with them, creating a paradoxical situation in which Naoto is able to survive and is now employed as a detective. Naoto has deduced that Takemichi is time-traveled by an interval of fifteen and a half years whenever the two of them hold hands. Takemichi has pledged to use his knowledge of the future to help Hinata.
Kiyomasa, a member of the Tokyo Manji Gang, forced Takemichi’s former allies to take part in clandestine combats that he oversaw. Because to his unrelenting dedication to their protection, Takemichi gains Mikey’s esteem, the leader of the group. Takemichi discovers that one of his other friends, Akkun, was about to be jailed when he recently connected with Mikey, and this knowledge helped prevent it. When Akkun kills himself out of fear, Takemichi realizes that the Tokyo Manji Gang is more dangerous to his friends than he first thought.
After traveling back in time, Takemichi learns that the Tokyo Manji Gang is at war with the rival Moebius gang in retaliation for Pah-companion. Mikey becomes angry as a consequence of Takemichi learning that Draken, his second-in-command, would be killed in the future. Pah-chin surrenders to the police after stabbing Osanai, the leader of the Moebius gang, while Draken escapes the fight unharmed. The Tokyo Manji Gang disagrees about how to help Pah-chin in this circumstance as a result, leading to conflict.
However, on August 3, 2005, the Tokyo Manji Gang were assaulted by a group of Moebius members led by a Valhalla member by the name of Shoji Hanma, despite Takemichi’s successful mediating of the dispute between Mikey and Draken. Takemichi learns that Peh-yan teamed up with them in retribution for Mikey and Draken allowing Pah-chin to be jailed, and that Kiyomasa attacked Draken in retaliation for Draken humiliating him and making him leave the Tokyo Manji Gang. Peh-yan teaches Takemichi this knowledge. Takemichi defeats Kiyomasa, the Tokyo Manji Gang triumphs in the conflict, and Draken recovers completely from his injuries.
Bloody Halloween and the Valhalla arc
When Takemichi returns to the present after going back in time, he finds that Hinata and his companions are still dying in this version of the story. Only the knowledge that Tetta Kisaki was accountable for the Tokyo Manji Gang’s transformation into a violent organization allowed Takemichi to go back in time. When he returned in the past, he saw Kisaki had just joined the gang and had taken advantage of Pah’s absence to become the new leader of his division. Aside from that, the first division captain, Keisuke Baji, who was formerly a co-founder of the Tokyo Manji Gang, will be leaving to join Valhalla. Kazutora Hanemiya recruited him to do so. The promise Mikey made to Takemichi that he would expel Kisaki from the gang if he was successful in bringing Baji back would be carried out by Mikey. Now that Takemichi has been officially accepted into Takashi Mitsuya’s division of the Tokyo Manji Gang, he is a part of the group.
